LISTEN TO LADY LOO LOVERS!
Choosing where to eat and drink out can be a tricky business. But it's not just pirces, ambience or popularity that influences decisions on where to drink it's also the quality of the loos!
For many patrons, particularly ladies, toilet facilities are a deciding factor. Loos are often the social hub of a hen night out, but many publicans have failed to latch onto this concept when reviewing their business. For a room more usually considered a necessity than a luxury, toilets have come a long way!
Gerard McElvenny, of Fluid Design Solutions explains the rising need for well-designed toilets: "For many pubs and bars in the past, toilets were considered as 'back of house' and therefore did not receive much attention in terms of design and upkeep.
"The attention to the design of toilets started in hotels where toilets are more than 'powder rooms' with large spaces, sofas and vanity tables. Bars now seem to have adapted this concept too and it only seems logical that pubs will soon follow."
