SERVICES FLUSHED WITH SUCCESS
A service station on the M4 near Swindon has proved its toilets are spick and span after winning two awards for cleanliness.
Welcome Break on the M4 at Membury received four-star status at the Loo of the Year Awards 2006.
Awards director Richard Chisnell said: "The toilets are judged against more than 100 different inspection criteria including decor and maintenance, cleanliness and hygiene equipment."
Authorised inspectors made unannounced visits to more than 1,100 sites over a four-month period.
The awards, run independently and promoted by the British Toilet Association, aim to highlight the standards of 'away from home' toilet provision all over the UK.
