AWARD FOR TOP TOILETS

A Chorley motorway service station has been acclaimed for standards of its toilets by winning three top awards in the Loo of the Year Awards 2006.

The Welcome Break site at Charnock Richard on the M6, both north and southbound, as well as the northbound petrol forecourt, has been given a five star rating by inspectors.

Toilets were judged against more than 100 different inspection criteria including decor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hygiene equipment and overall management.
