CAR INCENTIVE FOR SERVICE STATION MANAGERS

Motorway service station operator Welcome Break is giving its unit managers the chance to win eight Mini Coopers worth £15,000 each.

Running at the company's 24 units across the UK, the programme offers the reward to managers who achieve the best year-on-year sales across different sectors including food and drink, retail, forecourt and hotels.

Welcome Break chief executive Rod McKie said: "Our unit managers work extremely hard and are vital to the overall success of the business."

Welcome Break is the second largest operator of motorway service areas int he UK, offering motorists fuel, restaurants, shops, leisure facilities and overnight lodging.

Each site operates as a multi-million pound business in its own right, led by a site director who is responsible for a team of about 300 people, including around 30 managers.
