WELCOME SPLASHES £300,000 TO UPGRADE SHOWERS
After a hot day in the cab there's nothing better than jumping into a refreshing shower.
And busy truckers can now wash away the cares of the day in luxury thanks to a £300,000 investment by Welcome Break who have improved their shower facilities for truck drivers across its 26 sites in England, Scotland and Wales.
The project has seen 35 showers upgraded and an extra 40 new ones have been installed. They are available free, 24 hours a day.
Director of business development Karen McKechnie said: "Truck drivers are an important part of our business and we want to provide them with the best facilities possible.
"We appreciate that they want good quality showers at motorway service areas and our investment highlights our commitment to offering this."
Welcome Break now have 75 free-to-use showers on the UK motorway network.
