Welcome Break is one of the UK’s leading independent motorway service operators and has 27 sites across the UK. Welcome Break sites are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and attracts 85 million motorway customers annually.
Formed in 1959, Welcome Break has 60 years’ experience in the sector and more than 5,500 employees who strive to proudly and passionately offer its customers world class food and retail brands such as Waitrose, Starbucks, Harry Ramsden’s, WHSmith, KFC, PizzaExpress and Burger King in a friendly and relaxing environment.
Welcome Break has a partnership with the world’s largest specialist sandwich provider, Subway, and branches have opened at over 26 Welcome Break locations to date. Furthermore, there are 18 Starbucks Drive-Thru Cafes, along with 4 new pioneering Drive Thru PODs to complement other 51 Starbucks cafes in the Welcome Break estate.
There is also now a total of 19 Harry Ramsden across Welcome Break sites offering world famous fish and chips.
In 2018 Welcome Break opened the first PizzaExpress restaurant on the motorway network at Oxford, followed by South Mimms, Fleet South, Cobham and Beaconsfield.
Welcome Break operates 20 Days Inn and 9 Ramada hotels across the UK motorway network.
State-of-the-art assisted Changing Places accessible toilet facilities have been installed at a at Corley North, Fleet South, Gordano, Hopwood, Keele South, Membury West, Newport Pagnell North, Sarn Park, South Mimms and Charnock Richard North. *Note: There are no lift facilities available from between Charnock Richard North and South side.
