With a late Easter this year, there’s a good chance we’ll be enjoying some better weather this year. We can’t rule out a washout of course, but we’re confident we won’t be seeing a white Easter! We suggest postponing the DIY plans, putting down the wallpaper catalogues and getting yourself and the kids on the road!
Some of Britain’s finest venues are getting behind Easter in a big way this year, with Easter festivals and egg hunts to keep the kids entertained. Which might give you enough time for you to take in some stunning Spring sights.
We’ve gathered a list of some great destinations from all corners of Britain. One might be down the road from you, others might make a great road trip. Don’t forget we have hotel rooms most of our locations and some of these will give you somewhere to stay wherever you’re going.
The World Class Eden Project is holding an Easter Eggstravaganza throughout the Easter holidays, including egg hunts and other activities for the kids. If you haven’t been to Eden before, you’re in for a treat. The Eden project is located close to St Austell Cornwall. There are admission fees and we advise buying your ticket in advance here.

Nestled in the beautiful setting of Poole Harbour (the world’s second largest natural harbour), Brownsea Island is open to the public visitors throughout the Easter holidays. The island is a unique ecosystem and one of the few habitats for the Red Squirrel. Easter activities include the Cadbury Egg Hunt, in association with National Trust. The island is accessible on a regular passenger ferry – more details can be found here. Additional charges apply to visit the island – more details can be found here.

The world-renowned Warwick Castle is a great place to get into the Easter spirit, with a proper historical twist. Dare to enter the Horrible Histories Maze and enjoy the Wicked Warwick live stage show. And with the little ones occupied, you can enjoy the remarkable sights of one of Britain’s truly outstanding historical venues.
