So this is it. January. The beginning of a New Year to a New You. You’ve re-started the direct debit at the local gym, you’ve booked into hot yoga, hot Pilates, hot Zumba and just about hot anything to get your heart pumping like never before. Whilst not stopping there, you’ve planned every low calorie meal choice you can think of, as you ready yourself for your new healthy living plan. A fitness regime good enough for an Olympic hopeful, backed-up by the diet of your average rabbit. Good luck with that!
Of course, you could take a balanced approach and keep doing the things you enjoy, but make healthier choices along the way. And when you’re on the road, that doesn’t mean your healthy living goes on hold.
At Welcome Break, you’ll find plenty of meal choices for under 500 calories*, which means you can enjoy a proper meal without the guilt.
- You’ll find healthy salad and fruit options at all of our Waitrose stores, including our new range of award winning Savse Smoothies.
- Why not try a KFC Original Recipe Rice Box? Enjoy that KFC Original flavour in a lighter meal.
- Visit a Pret or Chopstix for a range of salads, sandwiches and healthy meal options.**
- Pop into a WHSmith and grab a healthy snack from one of our new Graze stands.
And for those creatures of habit, you can make lighter choices on your favourites too. Hold that mayo on your next trip to Subway and opt for some Skinny in your Latte when you call in at Starbucks. Why not also start-your-day with a healthy Starbucks Porridge?
Whilst we’re not planning any Zumba classes quite yet, you can still burn some extra calories on your next visit to Welcome Break. Now might be a good time to take those extra steps across the bridge to enjoy our hospitality on the other side of the motorway.
We all know that January is a tough time of the year and many of us will be making that extra-effort to burn those festive pounds and ready ourselves for Spring and Summer. We hope you make a success of it and keep Welcome Break in your journey plans for some healthier eating options this year.
