Easter’s here! And here’s hoping the Arctic winds have finally waned, so you and the family will be looking for hop out and enjoy some (dare we say) Spring weather?!
To get you inspired for some Easter road trips, we’ve gathered a list of great British venues to enjoy indoors and out. All are offering some great Easter activities for the kids, giving you the chance to enjoy some fantastic sights and scenery. Just don’t forget the waterproofs!

The World Class Eden Project is holding a number of kids activities across Easter, including egg hunts and other activities for the kids. It’s a long trip for most of us, but Eden is awe inspiring and this country’s true wonders. The Eden project is located close to St Austell Cornwall. There are admission fees and we advise buying your ticket in advance here.
The Cadbury Egg Hunt is coming to Brownsea Island this year, giving you the chance to enjoy a really unique National Trust attraction, nestled in beautiful Poole Harbour. The island is a unique ecosystem and one of the few habitats for the Red Squirrel. Accessible via a regular passenger ferry, the Island is open to the public visitors throughout the Easter holidays. Enjoying its 950th anniversary this year, Warwick Castle is a great place to get into the Easter spirit, with a proper historical twist. The Conquerers Fortress opens for Easter, alongside regular attractions such as the Horrible Histories Maze and the Wicked Warwick live stage show. And with the little ones occupied, you can enjoy the remarkable sights of one of Britain’s truly outstanding historical venues.

Chatsworth House is hosting a number of Easter activities throughout the holidays, including egg hunts, crafts and entertainment in their Farmyard and Children’s Playground. Chatsworth houses one of the country’s finest art collections, let alone its outstanding Peak District setting.

Fountains Abbey and Water Garden, located close to Ripon in North Yorkshire, is a perfect setting for the kids to take part in the National Trust Cadbury Egg Hunt, throughout the holidays. If egg hunting isn’t your thing, you can enjoy the most complete Cistercian Abbey remains in the country (believe us, they’re stunning) along with a large Georgian Water garden.
